Song

Everyone is like a song
A song has a different meaning and the feelings it invokes to each person that listens to it
Like songs, people come in many different styles,
and are usually put in types, as songs are put in genres.
People are ‘rock’, ‘hip-hop’, ‘reggae’, ‘metal’, ‘salsa’, ‘jazz’, and ‘blues’
With the labels, people make assumptions on how the person acts, what they like, where they live,
and who they hang out with, without knowing who they truly are
Those assumptions can lead to
hate, a superiority complex, or even the act of hurting of killing someone
Many people act this way out of ignorance or fear.
Songs can spew out hate, hurt or love.
The real meaning of a song may be hidden away for a long time
or may never be revealed.
Other songs can help another song reveal its true meaning.
But how a songs help and how much it help,
affects what is revealed.
It may be the truth,
or it may be false.
In the end,
Helping someone can bring out a beautiful song.

  1. I liked this poem because I write like this a lot too, but it felt too intense like you were jumping from one thought to other. Also, it's not like I didn't understand your ending but, I don't know how you came to that conclusion. Awesome ending though!
