I'll Never Forget You (Mirror Poem)

I think of you all the time,
especially when she visits her new love,
and it pierces me through the heart.
The anguish of grief and the agony still hasn’t faded.
I can taste my dire, salty cries for help rolling down my cheeks,
as I try to wipe them away with force.
Even though you’re not here anymore,
I can still feel you around me.
I look up at the ceiling and scream –Why!– in desperation,
letting the anger get the best of me.
Even though time still ticks, mocking my disbelief for your absence,
I refuse to ever forget you.

I refuse to ever forget you,
even though time still ticks, mocking my disbelief for your absence.
Letting the anger get the best of me,
I look up at the ceiling and scream, why, in desperation.
I can still feel you around me,
even though you’re not here anymore.
As I try to wipe them away with force,
I can taste my dire, salty cries for help rolling down my cheeks.
The anguish of grief and the agony still hasn’t faded,
and it pierces me through the heart,
especially when she visits her new love.
I think of you all the time.
